Teddy Ruxpin made his first friend request
in the fall of 1985.

was more than a slogan coined to advertise the best-selling and first ever Animated Talking Toy, it also aptly describes the relationship the character has cultivated with millions of children - and kids at heart, in the three decades since.

This website, now in it's 19th year, is dedicated to those who have continued that friendship, and those who will be embarking on it for the first time in 2017 and beyond.

"Lord of the Rings with fur."
Teddy brings us along to experience and engage with him in, rather than be passively instructed by, his values - hard work, honesty, freedom, bravery, trust, imagination, friendship, and love.

He's joined by a creative cast of friends and
nemeses that define the term "characters."

Although Teddy is able to reveal his world to us only via technology, his stories foster the imagination, and tangible exploration of our own, making him a unique 21st century gift.
It's a one of a kind and altruistic tale that has been out of production for too long.
